During a recent visit to the University of Tasmania with my college, I got a chance to have a look at the School of Architecture & Design. It was awesome
When I was there we got to build a building with 300m3 volume. It had to have maximum thermal efficiency and solar gain. It also had to have a wet, living and kitchen, and a sleeping area. We were given about 60 minutes to build it out of cardboard and hot glue. My group of course worked to the wrong scale, we were supposed to work to 1:50, I think my group worked to about 1:10 so our model was huge compared to the others, I think it was about 1.5m by about 2m J
