2010 Major Project – Computer Graphics and Design
0
I have begun to start designing my major project for computer graphics and design for 2010. I am going to design a house, and then visualize the design using a range of programs such as Lightwave 9.6, Photoshop CS4, Premiere Pro CS4, ArchiCAD 13 and AutoCAD 2010. At the moment I am currently in the designing stage mainly with floor plans and ideas being tested and tried. I am pretty sure that the block I will design the house for will be 114 Penquite RD, TAS, AU 7250. It is part of a new sub-division in East Launceston on the old Scotch Oakburn Oval.
This is the brief that I created:
The Task:
- You have to design a suburban house that:
- Has no more than 2 bedrooms,
- Has no more than 2.5 bathrooms,
- Has an open plan living, dining and kitchen area,
- Has a deck and/or an entertainment area,
- It must compliment its surroundings,
- Is passive solar designed.
- You will need to be able to present your design to the clients so that they can see/visualise the design and its features.
- You can present the final design in a number of ways:
- 3D visualisation video,
- Floor plan with 3D renderings,
- 3D walkthrough,
- Rendered images on the real life block
- You can present the final design in a number of ways:
- Programs that you can use will need to be available on campus. Programs like LightWave 9.6, Adobe Premiere Pro CS4, and Adobe Illustrator CS4 are all easily available throughout the campus to use to create your design. To create the floor plan, programs like ArchiCAD 13, or AutoCAD 2010 would be a good choice as they can produce the floor plan easily.
- A number of design ideas, sketches, colour trials and floor plans will need to be drafted in your sketchbook before the final design is presented to the clients.
