Young Endeavour

  

My trip in a minute Assignment.

On the 19^th till the 29^th of November I will be sailing on the Young Endeavour from Melbourne to Adelaide. This is all done through my workplace: Hungry Jacks Australia. I was approached by my District Manager about 4 months ago and I was asked to enter the competition to win the scholarship. To enter, I had to write an application similar to a résumé and answer some Hungry Jacks orientated questions such as:

• Its dinner rush and you are running the shift. There are 5 cars in drive thru and a foyer full of people and you turn around to find crew standing around doing nothing. A woman has just informed you that her son has spilt his drink in the dining room. What do you do and in what order? Why?

I then sent the application and the answers to the questions to my District Manager who then sent it to the State Manager and the National Marketing Director. They read my application and the other thousands of entries from all around Australia. Then 3 finalists were chosen selected and then I was chosen as the winner out of thousands of other entrants. I was completely surprised that I won when my Restaurant Manager told me before I started a shift.

 Every year since 2006 Hungry Jacks Australia have offered this as a scholarship program. I will be at sea for 10 days with 23 other people that I have never met. I am looking forward to sailing on the 19^th of November from Melbourne to Adelaide.
